These Terms govern your use of Anxiety Fitness — the website at anxietyfitness.com and our mobile apps. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them; they are a binding agreement.
Anxiety Fitness is operated by PFRJ Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 11629871), registered office Soho Works, 180 Strand, London, United Kingdom, WC2R 1EA. Contact: contact@pfrj.limited. For anything about your personal data, see our Privacy Notice and write to privacy@anxietyfitness.com.
What Anxiety Fitness is, and what it is not
Anxiety Fitness is a peer support community and a place to learn about anxiety. It hosts community posts, questions, live rooms, events and educational resources, some of which are led by mental health professionals.
It is not a healthcare service. Using it does not create a clinical relationship, and nothing on the platform is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. We do not triage, we are not monitored by clinicians in real time, and we are not an emergency or crisis service.
If you are in crisis, contact 999, NHS 111, or Samaritans on 116 123.
Where a mental health professional appears on the platform, they are responsible for their own professional conduct, registration and insurance. Anything you buy from or arrange with them directly is between you and them.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over to create an account or use Anxiety Fitness. There is no younger tier and no parental-consent route; this is an adults-only service. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
You also confirm that you are not barred from using the service under any applicable law or sanctions regime, and that you are not returning under a new account after we removed a previous one.
Your account
You need an account to take part. When you register you must give complete and truthful information, and keep it up to date.
- One account per person, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
- Do not share your account or your login details with anyone else.
- Accounts may not be created by bots or any automated method.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
Tell us immediately at contact@pfrj.limited if you think someone else has got into your account.
You can close your account at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. See What happens to your content for what is deleted and what is kept.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, stream and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. That licence lasts as long as we hold the content, and it exists so that we can technically show your post to the people you posted it to.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Who can see what you post
Where your content goes depends on where you posted it, and the platform shows you this before you post:
- Community content — posts, questions, wins, comments and room participation — is visible to the audience of the space you posted it in. Content posted to the open community is public.
- Your journal is private to you. It is stored separately from community content and is not published, not surfaced in feeds, and not readable by other members, by space owners or by moderators.
- Spaces may be open or private. Content in a private space is visible to its members.
Please do not post anything you would not want the audience of that space to see, and do not post other people's private information or clinical details.
Rules of conduct
You may not use Anxiety Fitness to:
- harass, bully, threaten, impersonate or incite hatred against anyone;
- post sexual content, graphic violence, or content that promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or substance misuse;
- give medical advice while pretending to be a qualified professional, or misrepresent your professional registration;
- sell, spam, phish, scrape, or recruit members off-platform without our agreement;
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service; or
- break any applicable law.
This is a mental health community. People arrive at their most vulnerable, and we enforce these rules with that in mind rather than at the margins.
Reporting, moderation and blocking
Every piece of content and every profile can be reported from within the app, and you can block another member so that neither of you sees the other. We review reports and may remove content or restrict accounts.
We moderate after publication rather than before. We may refuse, remove, hide or restrict content, and suspend or close accounts, where we consider that these Terms, the law or someone's rights have been broken, or where there is a risk to members. Where it is appropriate and lawful, we will tell you what happened and why.
Removal of content does not entitle you to compensation or a refund, except where you are a consumer and the law says otherwise.
Our content
Everything on the platform that is not posted by members — the software, design, branding, written material and educational resources we produce — belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it only as the service intends. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, modify or create derivative works from it, or from a creator's paid resource, without permission.
Where a resource is explicitly made downloadable, that is for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Paying for things
Some things on Anxiety Fitness cost money: tickets to events and masterclasses, resources in the Library, and subscriptions to some spaces.
Prices and what you get are shown before you buy. Prices may change, but a change never affects an order you have already placed.
How payment works
- On the web, payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details; we are told only that the payment succeeded.
- In the mobile apps, purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms, and billing, refunds and cancellation for those purchases go through them.
Submitting an order creates a contract and an obligation to pay the price shown, including any taxes and fees. You will get a receipt by email.
If a payment fails or is refused, we are not obliged to provide what was ordered.
Access is granted when payment completes
A place at a ticketed event is confirmed only once payment has actually gone through. A booking that is started but not paid for is a temporary hold, not a seat, and it may be released.
Subscriptions
Where a space is offered by subscription, it renews automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or through Apple or Google if you subscribed in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access for the rest of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-periods unless the law requires it.
Creators and professionals
Professionals, organisations and space owners sell through Anxiety Fitness using Stripe Connect. When you buy from them, we facilitate the sale and take a fee; they are responsible for delivering what they sold. If something goes wrong with what a creator provided, tell us and we will help, but your contract for that item is with them.
If you sell on the platform, you are additionally responsible for your own tax, for holding any professional registration you claim, and for what you say to people who join your mailing list. Where you build a mailing list through Anxiety Fitness, you are a data controller for it in your own right — see the Privacy Notice.
Cancelling a purchase
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA, you normally have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel a distance contract and get your money back, without giving a reason.
There is an important exception for digital content and services. If you ask for immediate access — starting a subscription, opening a resource, or attending an event that takes place inside the 14 days — and you acknowledge at checkout that you lose the right to cancel by doing so, then that right ends once the content is delivered or the service begins. We ask for that acknowledgement at the point of purchase.
To cancel, write to contact@pfrj.limited with a clear statement that you want to cancel, and enough detail to identify the order. We will refund you using the same payment method within 14 days of accepting the cancellation.
This section does not affect your statutory rights, including your right to a remedy if something we sold you was faulty or not as described.
Availability
We work to keep Anxiety Fitness running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may take the service down for maintenance. Where a change is significant and you are a paying member, we will tell you in advance.
Links and third-party services
Parts of the service are provided by others — video playback, chat, payments, the app stores. We do not control external websites or resources that members link to, and we are not responsible for their content.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that:
- We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety or consequences of anything a member or a creator posts. Peer support is not professional advice, and you use it on that basis.
- We are not liable for business losses. If you are using the service for business purposes, we have no liability for loss of profit, business, contracts or opportunity.
- Where we are liable to you as a consumer, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach, and our total liability for anything connected to a paid item is limited to what you paid for it.
You agree to indemnify us against claims and losses arising from content you posted or from your breach of these Terms — this does not apply where you are acting as a consumer.
What happens to your content if you leave
If you close your account, we delete what you posted — your wins, questions, events, event requests and bulletins — along with your profile, your journal and the files you uploaded.
Two things are handled differently. Comments you left on other people's posts, and your direct messages, stay but are detached from you and shown as coming from a deleted account, so we are not removing one half of somebody else's conversation. Purchase records stay because tax and accounting law requires us to keep them, but they are stripped of anything that identifies you. A ticketed event you hosted that has already happened stays too, with your name removed, because people paid for the seat and the recording.
If you own a space with other members, or you are hosting a ticketed event that has not happened yet, we will ask you to hand it over or close it first. We will not delete an account in a way that silently takes access away from people who joined or paid.
The Privacy Notice sets this out in full.
Suspension and closure by us
We may suspend or close your account, without notice where the situation warrants it, if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if your continued presence puts other members at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond.
Suspension or closure does not entitle you to compensation, and does not release you from fees you already owe.
Complaints and disputes
Please come to us first. Write to contact@pfrj.limited with a short description of the problem and any order details. We will acknowledge it promptly and work to resolve it.
If you have a dispute with another member arising from the platform, you can bring it to us and we will try to help resolve it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
Accessibility
We want the platform to be usable by people with disabilities. If something is inaccessible to you, tell us at contact@pfrj.limited with a description of the problem and we will address it where we reasonably can.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When a change materially affects your rights, we will give you reasonable notice — by email or in the app — before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new Terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
